Charles Eames was born 1928 and educated at the City Boys School, then at Leicester College of Art, taking the A.T.D course under A.E.Christopherson and Hugh Collinson, specialising in Sculpture under Albert Pountney.

He joined the L.S.A in 1949, and worked in Advertising and Display as a commercial sculptor and designer until retirement in 1993. Since then has turned to watercolour land and seascapes and portraits in oils. Charles Eames has been Treasurer for the Leicester Society of Artists since 1999.
