My main interest is in still-life painting, the picture being small scale, concentrated and highly detailed, with influences from the present and past traditions. Most of my paintings are acrylic on panel, but I also like to work in egg tempera, watercolour, gouache, and occasionally oils.
I have been a professional artist since 1976. I am a Member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists and I have exhibited regularly in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions from 1983, as well as numerous other galleries and exhibitions nationally and internationally. My paintings are in many private collections worldwide, and have been purchased by West Midlands and East Midland Arts Associations.
Two galleries currently representing my work on a permanent basis are:
Artifex Contemporary Arts
Mitchell Centre, Weeford Road, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands,B75 6NA
Goldmark Gallery
Orange Street, Uppingham, Rutland
