Running alongside the interactive LoveSport exhibition at New Walk Museum and Art Gallery, how do artists convey the movement and action and thrill of the game? From terraces to stadiums, from teams to individuals, from balls and racquets to the roads and tracks, sport is interpreted by the LSA in a wide variety of intriguing ways in paint, metal, fabric and print and mixed media.

Always a popular exhibition for visitors this year’s sporting theme promises to offer something for everyone; a true artistic Olympiad!

The exhibition will be launched at the evening preview on 4th June by Ted Cassidy MBE, Chair of the Special Olympics Leicester Summer Games 2009 and Head of Regional and International Partnerships at De Montfort University.
