122nd Annual Exhibition

“It was already the best show of its kind in the Midlands, but the Leicester Society of Artists haven’t rested on their laurels, and their terrific 2007 exhibition reveals a tremendous upswing in standards. It’’s the 122nd show – and the best for years. Although it’s still mostly a traditional exhibition, the society has pushed the boundaries with a tremendous display which should appeal to a larger and perhaps younger audience... The show is beautifully presented and you‘ll need two visits to truly appreciate it.”

Picasso Explored

“Here’s a canny piece of timing. To mark the opening of the major new Picasso exhibition at New Walk Museum and Art Gallery, Leicester Society of Artists has taken a new look at the works of this 20th century master... A truly wonderful exhibition by highly talented and innovative painters, sculptors and ceramicists.”
