"My approach to art is to study the work of the masters resolutely and to work from nature and life as much as possible," says Geoffrey Beasley.

Geoffrey Beasley studied at the Royal Academy Schools and has  an MA in Fine Art from Nottingham Trent University. He has taught art in schools and has been Artist in Residence at a number of venues, see the list at the bottom of this page. He currently works as Part Time Art Tutor at Embrace Arts, University of Leicester. 

Geoffrey Beasley's portrait of Ed was published on the front of the BP Portrait Award 2014 catalogue at the National Portrait Gallery in 2014.  His portrait of Will Self won the Charles Stanley Gold Prize at the LSA Annual Exhibition in the same year.  Another small painting from his series of portraits of Will Self appeared in the Royal Society of Portrait Painters Exhibition in London in May 2016.
