Lisa Timmerman trained at Loughborough Art College and then gained a BA Hons degree at Bristol Art College before working for many years in the fashion & textile industry in London & East Asia.

Since becoming a professional artist in 2011, her ‘TIMM’ signature has become a familiar sight and she has a large on-line following.

Lisa, originally from Leicester, won the Northants Arts Festival and was awarded her first 3 month solo exhibition by the Northampton Gallery '78 Derngate'. A second solo exhibition followed at Kettering Museum and her work is now on display in several UK galleries. She paints daily from her studio in Foxton near Market Harborough and continues to exhibit and develop her own style of work which she sells through the Cank Street Gallery in Leicester, and other galleries nationally and internationally.

Lisa’s inspiration comes from the process of capturing light and the way it affects mood and creates atmosphere in her paintings. Childhood, innocence, memories of speckled light, looking up through leaves & petals towards sunlight & shafts of light awakening darkness give an optimistic personality to her paintings.

Lisa teaches both acrylic & oil painting privately in small groups from her studio in Foxton near Market Harborough, Leicestershire.
