Vic Bearcroft Art Workshop Series
Time: 10am-4pm (arrive 9.30am)
Cost: £60, including all materials, light refreshments, all tuition.
Tutor: Sue Rowland
This linocut printing workshop is suitable for beginners
You will create your own simple design and transfer this to a mounted lino block. You will learn to cut your design using lino tools, and the process of printing onto paper. You will add colour to your prints using chine colle.
All materials are provided. Bring a simple one small colour image or a photograph of an animal, bird etc. (around 20 x 15 cm) to use as a starting point for your print design. You will be able to include pattern and mark making in the design process to create different textures. Reference materials and designs will be available on the day to use if you wish.
"For me there is something magical about printmaking and the decisions involved in translating ideas into designs. I particularly enjoy the mindful process of cutting marks into lino, followed by inking up the block and the excitement of seeing the first print emerge from the press!" - Sue Rowlands
