Emma Fitzpatrick has been awarded an Arts Council England grant for her project 'Making a Bigger Mark'. The award is from 'Developing Your Creative Practice' which is aims to ensure excellence is thriving in the arts and culture sector.

"This grant will hugely help me on my art journey - I'm so delighted," says Emma.

The funding will support Emma's residency at  Leicester Print Workshop over a nine month period from Nov 2019 to July 2020.  The timing of the grant by Arts Council England is key to Emma being able to develop the themes produced during her independent residency in Cill Rialaig in Ireland in January 2020.  In 'Making a Bigger Mark', Emma intends to research and explore etching techniques at Leicester Print Workshop, both traditional and unorthodox, and at a larger scale than she has before.  Emma will also visit artists and print studios to share what she discovers with the LPW.
