Submissions for the RWA 169 Annual Open Exhibition are now open until 14 August 2022 and can be entered via the online submission system via the link below.
All Annual Open artworks can be viewed and purchased online during the exhibition.
The Royal West of England Society's Annual Open Exhibition is now in its 169th year. Anyone can enter their work for this mixed discipline show, and as usual this year will include painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, film, sculpture and illustration by artists ranging from leading professionals, including RWA Academicians, to emerging talent, from across the UK and beyond.
A selection panel assesses every entry and all work is for sale; the exhibition attracts art-lovers and art-buyers from far and wide. Submissions are welcome from unknown, emerging and established artists, and work is judged purely on its own merits, anonymously, rather than on the artist's CV.
Prizes
£5000 Academy Prize, for an artwork by any artist in any medium
£500 Harford prize, for an artist of global majority or mixed ethnicity.
