Meditation plays a huge part in the formulation of my concepts as I delve into the core of my psyche and come to realisations that enable me to create visual representations of my ‘thoughts’. My work is an exploration of identity. I am interested in the factors that makes us who we are, those that we choose and those that we do not. I question societal norms, labels and rules; humanity itself is a big influence within my work. Painting is the tool that enables me to speak my mind. I aim to remain experimental with concepts, mediums and techniques but I stand true to what engages me – mark making, technical ability and a deep conceptual and philosophical vision.
