The LSA is sorry to see the closure of Cank Street Gallery last week.  The gallery, and its owner, Dayle Flude, enthusiastically promoted many established and emerging artists and were supporters of local artists from around the region. Many LSA Members regularly had their work on show and available for sale in the gallery. The Cank Street 'Open' exhibtions drew many people to the gallery in Leicester during the summer months and provided an opportunity to see the range of visual talent across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland and other areas of the East Midlands.

The Cank Street Gallery  collaborated with us to promote our regular LSA 'Featured Artist', with 22 mini artists shows since April 2015. The gallery generously sponsored our Student Award in 2018, with prizes for three students on Art & Design degree courses at Loughborough University and De Montfort University.  Cank Street Gallery operated a framing service, and framed all the work on display in our Arts Council sponsored 'Little Selves' exhibition at New Walk Museum & Art Gallery in 2017, which included works from 8 schools and colleges from students aged 16 and over.

We are sorry to lose such a close partner and thank the Cank Street Gallery for working with us over the past 4 years.
