"I love Jane’s painterly, expressive brushstrokes and the way in which she has successfully ‘sculpted’ the structure of Daniel’s head and the texture of his hair in oil paint, whilst also capturing beautifully his thoughtful gaze which appears to look into the distance beyond the right shoulder of the viewer, inviting us to wonder what he’s thinking."
