Each year, during October breast cancer awareness month, NBCRC arranges a public event with the aim of raising awareness of the disease and letting people know about the breast cancer research currently being conducted  in Nottingham. This year the event will be centred around an exhibition of work created by artists whose lives have been affected by breast cancer - either as patient, relative, friend or care-giver.

Carol Pairaudeau, the administrator of the Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre (NBCRC) at the University of Nottingham, has curated the exhibition. Carol is a former breast cancer patient, professional artist and LSA Member.  The exhibition includes a collection of her artist books.
