Open 33, The People's Exhibition, showcases contemporary artwork and craft by local and regional artists. The Open celebrates the talent of artists, of all abilities and backgrounds and provides opportunity to sell their work. The exhibition is made up of two categories, the Young People category for 5 to 18 year olds and the Adult category for people aged 19 years and over.
This year over 800 entries were received. LSA members Vishal Joshi and Peter Underhill were amongst the judges on the independent panel.
Three LSA Members were awarded prizes from sponsors: Linda Sharman received an Art House Cash Prize for her painting China Town; George Sfougaras receives an exhibition opportunity at LCB Depot for his work entitled Ruins, and Andrew Jackson received a Phoenix prize for his work Artist and Model, a mixed media drawing and painting depicting Egon Schiele and Wally Neuzil ... read more
