LSA Member Lisa Timmerman won the Princess Michael of Kent Award at the Society of Women Artists 161st Annual Open Exhibition (6-11 September 2022) at the Mall Galleries London. Lisa attended the preview on 7th September and received the prize from HRH Prince Michael of Kent.

It was like the phone call of dreams when Sue Jelley, director of the Society of Women Artists told me on Monday that my painting, ‘Koi Study 11’ had won ‘The HRH Princess Michael of Kent Award’ at the 161st annual exhibition of The Society of Women Artists at The Mall Galleries, London.
I skipped down to London with my head in the clouds for the launch of the exhibition & the awards ceremony yesterday & as the princess was unwell, Prince Michael of Kent presented the award and afterwards he came over and wanted to talk to me about my little fishy painting!
