Call for Entries
Artists are invited to submit work for exhibition alongside members of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters at their Annual Exhibition 2022 at the Mall Galleries, 17 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1 from 24 November - 10 December 2022.
This year’s mini theme is ‘Changing Times’, which can be interpreted widely. Artists are encouraged to contribute a work on the theme, however it is not compulsory. If a work is on the theme, please elaborate on how in the artwork description box when applying.
How to Submit
All work must be submitted online. Pre-selection from online entries will take place, after which pre-selected works should be delivered to Mall Galleries, London, for final selection:
Upload images of work at www.mallgalleries.oess1.uk between Friday 1 July and Friday 9 September, 12noon
Check www.mallgalleries.oess1.uk on Friday 23 September to see if your work has been pre-selected
If pre-selected, deliver your work for final selection on Saturday 15 October, 10am to 5pm, to Mall Galleries, 17 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1Y 5BD
Important Dates
Submissions open: Friday 1 July, 12 noon
Submissions close: Friday 9 September, 12noon
Pre-selection notification: Friday 23 September
Receiving Day (if pre-selected): Saturday 15 October, 10am to 5pm
Notification of final selection: Tuesday 18 October
Collection of unaccepted work: Thursday 20 October, 10am to 5pm
Exhibition opens: Thursday 24 November, 10am to 5pm
Exhibition closes: Saturday 10 December, 5pm
Collection of unsold work: Thursday 15 December, 10am to 5pm
Eligibility
Any artist over 18 may submit.
Acceptable media: Oils. Acrylic and water-soluble oil paint is acceptable if framed as an oil, so as not to spoil the general appearance of the exhibition.
