About This Exhibition
The Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (RBSA) Summer Show is an open call that invites artists working in all media to submit work. This exhibition provides an excellent opportunity for contemporary artists to showcase work in an institution with over 200 years history of supporting artists.
Selection for the exhibition is by an experienced panel of RBSA Members. Work is selected by digital image of the original artwork only. The selection is based on the assessment of the quality and interest of each work.
Prizes:
First Prize: £500
Second Prize: £250
Up to 6 Highly Commended certificates will also be awarded
Artists may enter up to three pieces of 2D work and up to six pieces of 3D work in total.
• Free for Honorary RBSA Members and Graduate Artists
• RBSA Friends do not need to pay entry fees but will be required to pay display fees if work is selected
• Members and Associates pay entry fees but not display fees
• If you are not a Member, Associate, Friend, Honorary Member or Graduate Artist, you need to pay entry fees but not display fees
• 50% discount for artists under 35 (Please provide proof on delivery of artwork)
• All entry fees are non-refundable
Entry Fees for 2D entries:
Maximum of three entries.
Only one work at 120cm or more will likely be accepted. If you submit more than one work over 120cm, we reserve the right not to hang a second or third work depending on wall space.
1 entry: £13

Entry Fees for 3D entries:
Maximum six entries for works that are 40cm and below in their longest dimension.
Maximum four entries for works above 40cm in their longest dimension.
