Jackie Terrett is a contemporary figurative artist
Jackie says "Drawing has been important to me from an early age as a way of describing the world around me. I have a passion for detail, both in nature and the human form. Sitting within a landscape and observing the distinct differences in light and atmosphere, each change brings with it an idea, a splash of colour, a change in light, a shape or sense of movement created through or into a space. Seasonal differences, transitory moments, or historic references add that spark of interest or excitement. Observing how people react and interact within various environments. The theme or idea often has an underlying narrative, which can evolve into a series of artworks over a long period of time."
