Maria Boyd is a Scottish Artist living and working in Leicester, and produces highly stylised contemporary watercolours.Her inspiration comes from the landscapes of her native Scotland to the ancient Meadows of England and all the gardens, parks and pavements in-between. She also has a love of Celtic and Islamic patterning which frequently appears in her art.Her style involves juxta-posing stylised images of nature and wildlife onto highly patterned grounds influenced by her textile background, with a smattering of golden highlights.


Her paintings have been exhibited in exhibitions and galleries in the Midlands, Warwickshire, Yorkshire, Suffolk Norfolk and the Cotswolds.
