I respond creatively to stimuli in my environment. It could be from an urban or countryside walk, a news item or documentary. My work often starts as a drawing, collage or painting, but at some point reality is left behind and the imagination takes over. As the abstract piece develops the use of stitch totally becomes intuitive.
