Helen Newton a Leicester based artist and designer working in gouache, watercolour and inks on board and paper. Places Helen has visited are a constant source of inspiration. She also paints for friends, and for others who commission work. Typically, these are house and garden portraits, which include imagery reflecting the client's relationship to their house and garden. Her work is based on realistic images, but colour, pattern and perspective are enhanced to record the personality of the special place, person or event.
